Founder and Architect
After graduating from Delft University of Technology in 2009, I worked at firms at the intersection of architecture and interior design, including HofmanDujardin, always taking the user experience as my starting point. Six years as design director at Whitespace Architects in Dubai sharpened my perspective on vision, the use of materials, and spatial experience.
In 2020, I founded Atelier Coenen—not as a logical next step, but out of conviction and passion: that the most beautiful projects emerge when architecture, interior design, and landscaping are conceived as a single, cohesive whole from day one and reinforce one another.
My belief: luxury through simplicity, getting back to the basics, and leaving out what doesn’t matter.
Tamasine McNabb
Partner. interior designer and artist
Raised between Denmark, Tanzania, Singapore, the UK and Dubai, a background that has greatly shaped her creativity, sense of craftsmanship and cultural diversity. With over 8 years of experience at design studios in Amsterdam and Dubai, including Tjep., Studio Linse and Keane, Tamasine has an innate sense of beauty and detail.
In addition to her involvement with Atelier Coenen, she has her own line of art – Art by Tamasine – which reflects that same passion for composition, color and feeling.
